Hello! My name is Sophia Spencer. I am a 7th grader at Brentwood School in Los Angeles. I have competed twice in the Los Angeles County Science and Engineering Fair and this year I am moving on to state. I really enjoy doing science and my dream is to become a doctor one day. Furthermore, I am very interested in studying the eye, so my first scientific study evaluated the relationship between Eye color and Photophobia. The idea for this study came from playing tennis. I am a competitive tennis player and noticed some people have difficulty seeing the ball better in the dark whereas other players see the ball better in the light. My second study was done on testing the amount of sugar in sports beverages.
