The Summer Science Institute (SSI) III: Student Research Internship is the third phase of a multi-summer scientific enrichment program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). It is an intensive eight-week, full-time research experience for rising high school seniors, where they conduct an independent project under the direction of UAB research faculty after completing previous levels of the program.
