The ASPIRE program at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) is an intensive STEM internship for high school juniors and seniors. Students are paired with APL staff mentors to complete hands-on technical projects, build professional skills, and explore STEM career pathways.

Eligibility

Must be a U.S. citizen (green card holders not eligible), have a minimum 2.8 GPA, be at least 15 by June 1, have reliable transportation to APL, and permanently reside in select MD counties (Anne Arundel, Baltimore County/City, Carroll, Frederick, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George's), select VA counties/cities (Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax), or Washington, D.C.
