ASPIRE
The ASPIRE program at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) enables high school juniors and seniors to experience STEM careers through an intensive, unpaid internship. Students are paired with APL staff mentors to complete hands-on technical projects and develop problem-solving and professional skills.

Eligibility
Must be a high school junior or senior during participation (at least 15 by June 1), U.S. citizen, minimum 2.8 GPA, no criminal record, reliable transportation to APL, and permanent resident of designated Maryland counties (Anne Arundel, Baltimore County/City, Carroll, Frederick, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George’s), Virginia counties/cities (Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax), or Washington, D.C.
