The Georgia Cancer Center Summer Research Experience (GCC SRE) is a six-week summer program at Augusta University for high school students interested in biomedical sciences. Participants work alongside cancer researchers on projects spanning cell and molecular biology, immunology, genomics, bioinformatics, and population health, while receiving individual mentorship and professional skill development.

Open to high school students; priority is given to students from Richmond, Columbia, and Aiken Counties. Students must be at least 16 years old for laboratory/bench research; students under 16 may participate in bioinformatics, computational biology, clinical outcomes, or population health research.
