The Breakthrough Junior Challenge is an annual, global science video competition for students ages 13 to 18. Participants create and submit an original video of up to 2 minutes explaining a fundamental concept or theory in the life sciences, physics, or mathematics.

Eligibility

Must be between ages 13 (by May 11, 2026) and 18 (not yet 19 on October 1, 2026). Open globally to individuals only (no group submissions). Participants must complete peer reviews of at least 5 other submissions.
