The Breakthrough Junior Challenge is an annual global science video competition for students ages 13 to 18. Participants create and submit an original video of up to two minutes that explains a complex concept or theory in life sciences, physics, or mathematics. Winners can receive a $250,000 college scholarship, a $50,000 prize for their inspiring teacher, and a state-of-the-art science lab for their school.

Eligibility
Open to students worldwide who are at least 13 years old by May 11, 2026 and not yet 19 years old by October 1, 2026. Submissions must be in English.
