Boston University's Research in Science & Engineering (RISE) program is a six-week summer research experience for rising high school seniors. Students choose between an Internship track conducting 40 hours per week of hands-on laboratory research alongside BU mentors, or a Practicum track conducting structured computational group research in neurobiology or data science.

Eligibility
Must be a US citizen or legal permanent resident currently in junior year of high school (entering senior year in fall 2026).

- $5,930 tuition plus $485 service fees ($3,978–$4,320 optional room and board; $75 application fee)
