Building Leaders for Advancing Science and Technology (BLAST) is a free, three-day residential summer STEM program for Virginia rising 9th and 10th grade students. Hosted at five Virginia university campuses, participants with no prior STEM experience stay in college dormitories and explore hands-on STEM activities, demonstrations, and laboratory tours led by university faculty.

Eligibility
Must be a Virginia resident and U.S. citizen or Legal Permanent Resident currently enrolled in 8th or 9th grade with at least a 2.7 GPA and no prior STEM experience. Participation is limited to once per student.
