COSMOS (California State Summer School for Mathematics and Science) is an intensive four-week summer residential pre-college program for talented students with an interest in STEM. Participants engage in hands-on, lab-intensive curricula mentored by UC faculty and researchers at one of five University of California campuses. It is designed for students who demonstrate aptitude for academic and professional careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Eligibility
Restricted to California high-school students. Students are required to have completed grades 8-12. A typical student has a GPA of 3.5 or above.

- $5,518 tuition; $46 application fee. All payments are non-refundable.
- Financial aid
- Need-based financial assistance is available for application fees and program tuition. Applications are evaluated based on family income and size. Admissions are need-blind.
