Cancer Health Equity Summer Scholars (CHESS)

The Cancer Health Equity Summer Scholars (CHESS) program at the University of Illinois Cancer Center is an eight-week summer research experience for high school students interested in cancer research and health professions. Participants work on independent research projects in UIC faculty labs, attend professional development workshops and lectures, and present their findings at a research symposium.
