Careers in Science is a multi-year, year-round paid internship and youth development program at the California Academy of Sciences for San Francisco high school students from communities underrepresented in STEM. Interns conduct outdoor fieldwork, facilitate public science education, attend professional development trainings, and participate in science research or environmental action projects led by Academy researchers.

Must be currently enrolled full-time as a 9th or 10th grade student in an SFUSD school, maintain a GPA of 2.5+ with a C or higher in science and math, be eligible to obtain a US work permit, and commit to 2–3 years through graduation.
