Carnegie Mellon University's Summer Academy for Math and Science (SAMS) is a fully funded STEM enrichment program designed for high school students from backgrounds underrepresented in STEM fields. The program features a virtual jumpstart, a six-week residential experience on CMU's campus involving coursework and a research symposium, and ongoing virtual college preparatory sessions.

Eligibility
Applicants must be current 10th or 11th grade students (rising 11th/12th graders) and at least 16 years old by June 20, 2026. Submission of financial documentation demonstrating financial need (such as tax documents or a NACAC fee waiver) is required.
