Summer Academy for Math and Science
Carnegie Mellon University's Summer Academy for Math and Science (SAMS) is a rigorous STEM enrichment and college preparation program for high school students, particularly those from backgrounds underrepresented in STEM. The hybrid experience includes a virtual jumpstart, a six-week residential session featuring academic courses and hands-on research projects culminating in a symposium, and ongoing virtual college-transition support.

Eligibility
Must demonstrate financial need (via tax documentation or a signed NACAC application fee waiver). Underrepresented backgrounds in STEM are prioritized. Non-U.S. citizens/permanent residents are not eligible for fully funded scholarship programs.
