Hk Maker Lab is a free, five-week summer engineering design program for NYC high school students from low-resource backgrounds. Held in collaboration with Columbia Engineering, the program combines a three-week course from Columbia's Summer High School Academic Program for Engineers (SHAPE) with a two-week Hackathon for Health Equity.

Eligibility
Open to rising high school juniors and seniors (currently in 10th or 11th grade) attending a NYC public or charter high school who can demonstrate educational and/or economic disadvantage (attending a school with ENI of 80%+ or family qualifying for Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, or public housing).
