HEIDE STEPS (Summer Training in Equity Program for Secondary Students)

HEIDE STEPS (Summer Training in Equity Program for Secondary Students) is a four-week internship offered by the Delaware Division of Public Health's Health Equity Institute of Delaware. Designed for rising 9th through 12th graders, the program teaches students about the social factors affecting community health through expert-led virtual sessions, real-life public health site visits, and community service. Participants complete at least 20 hours of service and deliver a final presentation on their work to peers and health experts.
