Helping Orient Indian Students and Teachers into STEM (HOIST) is a culturally grounded STEM program for Native American high school students from the 11 Tribal Reservations with a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Idaho. The program seeks to increase the representation of Native American students in STEM fields through collaborative learning with university faculty.

Eligibility
Open to high school students from the 11 Tribal Reservations with a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of Idaho. Must have completed at least 9th grade. Graduated seniors planning to attend U of I in the fall are also eligible.
