Educational Pathways for Cancer Research (EPCR)
The Educational Pathways for Cancer Research (EPCR) summer program at the IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center provides mentored laboratory research experiences for graduating high school seniors and undergraduate students interested in medicine and cancer-related fields. Participants work full-time alongside investigators on basic science, translational, bioinformatics, or clinical research projects over a two-year commitment (10 weeks each summer) and present their findings at a final poster session.

Eligibility
Open to graduating high school seniors entering their freshman year of college and undergraduate students graduating after Summer 2026. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents (green card holders). Students from medically underserved communities are encouraged to apply. Note that IU housing policy requires participants to be at least 18 years old at the start of the program to stay in campus housing.
