Future Scientist Program

The Future Scientist Program at the IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center is an eight-week summer research experience for high school juniors attending public schools in Indianapolis and Marion County. Interns work full-time on cancer research projects in laboratories under the mentorship of university researchers and physician-scientists on the IU Indianapolis campus. Participants receive a paid stipend and present their research at a concluding poster session.

Eligibility

Must be a junior at an Indianapolis or Marion County public high school with a minimum 3.0 GPA at the time of application. Must be able to obtain a work permit through the school system if age 16 or under.
