The Johns Hopkins Internship in Brain Sciences (JHIBS) is a summer research program for high school juniors and seniors interested in exploring careers in neurological and behavioral health sciences. Interns engage in hands-on mentored scientific research, clinical rotations or laboratory technique training, and professional development sessions. The program offers an 8-week in-person track for Baltimore-area students and a 5-week virtual track open nationwide.

Eligibility

Open to rising high school juniors and seniors. In-person track is limited to students enrolled in Baltimore City public or independent schools. Virtual track is open nationwide. Strongly encourages applicants from backgrounds underrepresented in biomedical research.
