MIT PRIMES (Program for Research in Mathematics, Engineering and Science for High School Students)
MIT PRIMES (Program for Research in Mathematics, Engineering and Science for High School Students) is a free year-long research program hosted by the MIT Mathematics Department. High school sophomores and juniors work with MIT researchers on unsolved problems in mathematics and applied mathematics. The program operates in four distinct phases throughout the calendar year, culminating in a conference presentation and research paper.

Eligibility
Open to high school sophomores and juniors (or homeschooled students of the same age) residing in the United States. Local students within driving distance of Boston attend in person; non-local students outside Greater Boston apply to PRIMES-USA via the same portal. International students physically residing and attending in-person school in the US are eligible.
