Hosted by the University of Texas Center for Space Research in partnership with NASA, the STEM Enhancement in Earth Science (SEES) Summer Intern Program is a competitive research internship for high school sophomores and juniors. Interns work with NASA and aerospace scientists to conduct authentic research using satellite data across Earth and space sciences, completing online modules and participating either on-site at UT Austin or virtually.

Eligibility
Must be a U.S. citizen, a current high school sophomore or junior (rising junior or senior), at least 16 years old by July 5, 2026, and a first-time SEES participant.

- Cost
- $2,000 tuition for paid on-site participants; free for scholarship recipients and virtual participants
- Financial aid
- Full scholarships covering tuition, housing, and meals are awarded, as well as a limited number of travel scholarships. Virtual participation is completely free.
