Summer Ventures in Science and Mathematics is a no-cost, state-funded four-week summer research program for academically talented North Carolina high school sophomores and juniors. Hosted on UNC system campuses, participants collaborate with faculty on hands-on STEM research projects, experience campus life, and complete a preparatory research course.

Eligibility
Must be a North Carolina resident in the 10th or 11th grade (second or third year of high school) who has not previously participated in Summer Ventures. Applicants must clear North Carolina residency through the Residency Determination Service (RDS).
