The Biomedical Research Academy at the University of Pennsylvania is a three-week residential summer program for high school students. It covers cellular, molecular, and genetic biology through daily lectures, journal clubs, and both wet and computational laboratory sessions.

Eligibility
Requires completion of one year of high school biology; one year of chemistry is strongly advised. Minimum 3.5 GPA recommended. International students may need to meet English language proficiency requirements. Program is fully residential.
Costs and support
- Cost
- $10,050 tuition (includes program fees and residential costs; a nonrefundable $1,500 enrollment deposit is required). Application fee is $100.
- Financial aid
- Limited scholarships are available for Philadelphia residents attending a School District of Philadelphia public or charter high school. These scholarships cover tuition, housing, and meals.
