The Research Science Institute (RSI) is an intensive six-week summer STEM program hosted by the Center for Excellence in Education at MIT. Selected high school juniors complete advanced coursework and conduct independent scientific and engineering research under the mentorship of experienced scientists and researchers, culminating in conference-style papers and presentations.

Eligibility
Open to high school juniors (11th grade) with one year remaining before graduation who will be at least 16 years of age by July 1. High school seniors are not eligible. Open to U.S. citizens/permanent residents and international students from participating countries.
