The Research Science Institute (RSI) is a prestigious, cost-free, six-week summer research program hosted at MIT for exceptionally accomplished high school juniors. Participants engage in intensive STEM coursework and conduct off-campus individual research projects under the mentorship of leading scientists and researchers, culminating in conference-style oral and written presentations.

Eligibility
Open to high school juniors (rising seniors / grade 11). Seniors are not eligible. Applicants must be at least 16 years old by July 1 of the program year. Application fee waivers are available for students with financial need.
