Waksman Institute Summer Experience (WISE)

The Waksman Institute Summer Experience (WISE) programs at Rutgers University engage high school students in an authentic research project in molecular biology and bioinformatics. Participants analyze DNA sequences from the duckweed Landoltia punctata through seminars and in-person laboratory sessions (or online bioinformatics in vWISE), with vetted sequences submitted for publication on the NCBI GenBank database.
