The Secondary Student Training Program (SSTP) at the University of Iowa is a selective, intensive residential summer research program for high school sophomores and juniors. Participating students conduct authentic research under faculty mentorship, attend seminars, and present their findings in a concluding poster session while earning college credit.

Eligibility

Students must be in grades 10-11 and may only attend SSTP once. International students are eligible with proof of English proficiency.

Merit- and need-based scholarships are available, including dedicated funds for students from New York.
