The Simons Summer Research Program at Stony Brook University gives academically talented high school juniors the opportunity to engage in hands-on STEM research with faculty mentors. Fellows join active research teams, learn advanced laboratory techniques, attend weekly lectures and workshops, and present a written abstract and research poster at the concluding symposium.

Eligibility

Must be current high school juniors (11th grade) at the time of application, at least 16 years old by program start, U.S. citizens or permanent residents, and nominated by their high school (maximum 2 nominees per school).
