The Stanford Institutes of Medicine Summer Research Program (SIMR) is an eight-week research program for high school juniors and seniors to perform basic research with Stanford faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and researchers on medically-oriented projects. Participants engage in hands-on laboratory research, attend weekly lectures, and present a scientific research poster at the program's concluding session.

Eligibility
Must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents (green card holders) currently living in and attending high school in the U.S. Selection heavily favors local Northern California (Bay Area) students. Out-of-area students must arrange housing with a family member or legal adult guardian (hotels and Airbnbs not permitted).
