The Science, Technology, and Reconstructive Surgery (STaRS) Summer Program is an 8-week, fully funded research experience at Stanford Medicine designed to introduce high school and community college students to careers in medicine, biomedical science, and academic research. Interns work alongside clinician-scientist mentors in Stanford laboratories, learning essential lab techniques, attending lectures, and presenting their research at a final showcase.
