Computer Science Summer Research Program for High School Students
UT Dallas Computer Science K-12 Outreach offers research internship and workshop opportunities for advanced high school students to gain hands-on experience in computer science labs and deep-dive AI topics. Participants engage in projects such as reading research papers, developing applications, or completing a capstone AI project under the guidance of UTD faculty and graduate students. The program is designed for highly motivated, independent students interested in pursuing STEM fields.

Eligibility
Participants must be passionate and highly motivated, ideally finishing 10th or 11th grade. In-person attendance requires students to be at least 15 years old by the start date. No residential stay provided.

- $900–$2000 depending on the program (e.g., $1000 for in-person workshop, $900 virtual, $1500 internship, $2000 deep-dive AI). Discounted fees available for low-income families.
