Ted R. Lilley CURE Program

The Ted R. Lilley Continuing Umbrella of Research Education (CURE) Program at the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute offers hands-on biomedical research experiences to Portland-area high school students from socially or economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Interns work in a lab with a faculty member for 8 weeks, attend weekly seminars, and present their research at a final poster symposium.

Eligibility

Open to sophomores, juniors, or seniors from Oregon high schools (preference given to Portland Metro public school students and those with 2 years remaining) from disadvantaged backgrounds (NIH definition), with at least a 3.0 GPA and at least one completed lab science class.
