The UC Santa Cruz Science Internship Program (SIP) offers high school students the opportunity to spend their summer working on authentic, open-ended research projects under the mentorship of UCSC faculty, postdocs, and graduate students. Interns engage in one week of online research followed by seven weeks of in-person research on campus, concluding with a final symposium presentation.

Students must be 14-17 years of age during the program (some projects require age 16+). High school graduates are generally ineligible. Open to out-of-area and international students.
