The Tufts University Biomedical Engineering Research Scholars (TUBERS) program provides high school students with hands-on research experiences in Tufts University biomedical engineering laboratories. Participants work full-time over six weeks alongside undergraduate and graduate mentors, learning experimental techniques and conducting scientific investigations in cell, tissue, and organ research.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old and enrolled in (or recently graduated within two years from) an eligible Massachusetts school: a vocational technical high school, a public high school in a designated Gateway City, a public high school with ≥25% low-income enrollment, or enrolled in the METCO Program.
