UC San Diego Research Scholars: Sports Medicine Academy

The UC San Diego Sports Medicine Academy, offered through UC San Diego Division of Extended Studies Research Scholars, introduces high school students to clinical sports medicine, human movement, and injury care. Students participate in lectures from expert clinicians, explore current research such as concussion management, and gain hands-on skills in musculoskeletal evaluation, wound care, and therapeutic taping.

Eligibility

Open to incoming 11th and 12th grade students with a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher. Direct enrollment (no application required). Commuter-based; housing and transportation are not provided.
