UCSF Summer Student Research Program
The UCSF Summer Student Research Program is a seven-week biomedical research opportunity for high school students from diverse backgrounds. Students are paired with mentors in clinical or basic science laboratories, attend seminars, and present their findings at a research symposium. The program aims to increase participation in STEM and health science careers for students who are economically, educationally, or medically disadvantaged.

Eligibility
Applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents, in grades 10-12, have completed one year of math and one year of biology, maintain at least a 3.0 GPA, and be economically, educationally, or medically disadvantaged. They must be at least 16 years old by June 1 of the program year.
