UCSF Summer Student Research Program

The UCSF Summer Student Research Program (SSRP) provides high school students from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds with hands-on biomedical research experience. Participants are paired with mentors in clinical or basic science laboratories and attend seminars, workshops, and a final research symposium.

Eligibility
Applicants must be high school students in grades 10-12 who are at least 16 years old by June 1 of the program year. They must have completed at least one year of math and one year of biology, be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents, and meet criteria as economically, educationally, or medically disadvantaged.
