The Summer Scholars Academy at the University of Houston is an intensive 9-week summer bridge program for graduating high school seniors planning to attend UH in the fall with a major in Natural Sciences and Mathematics or Engineering. Participants complete Calculus 1 for college credit, preview Fundamentals of Chemistry, develop college success skills, and can qualify for admittance into their first-choice major.

Eligibility

Must be a graduating high school senior planning to attend UH in the fall, select an NSM or Cullen College of Engineering major as first choice, have taken/currently taking pre-calculus (cannot have taken Calculus 1 for dual credit), and attend a required information session.
