Summer Scholars Academy
The Summer Scholars Academy at the University of Houston is an intensive 9-week summer bridge program for incoming freshmen intending to major in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics or the Cullen College of Engineering. Participants take courses including Calculus 1, Fundamentals of Chemistry, and College Success, receiving academic support to help them successfully transition into university-level STEM coursework.

Eligibility
Must be a graduating high school senior planning to attend UH in the fall; must select an NSM or Engineering major as a first choice; must have credit for or be currently taking pre-calculus. Cannot have already taken Calculus 1 as dual credit. Must attend an information session to be eligible to apply.
