The Minnesota Youth Institute (MNYI) is an interactive program hosted by the University of Minnesota's College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS) for high school students in grades 9–12. Participants independently research global food security and agricultural challenges, write a research paper, and present their ideas during roundtable discussions with university faculty and industry experts on campus. Participating students become Borlaug Scholars and may qualify for CFANS scholarships and the Global Youth Institute.
