STARS Summer Research Program
The STARS Summer Research Program at UT Southwestern allows high school juniors and teachers to work alongside faculty in biomedical research laboratories. The program is designed to provide hands-on research experience to students and new pedagogical skills to teachers. Participants receive a stipend and must present their research findings at the conclusion of the eight-week program.

Eligibility
Student applicants must be currently enrolled high school juniors, at least 16 years old by June 1, and reside in North Texas. Teacher applicants must be currently employed middle or high school classroom teachers in Texas. Participants must not have prior biomedical or biomedical-related research experience.
