The VIMS Governor's School is a 4-week summer residential apprenticeship program for high-achieving Virginia high school students. Hosted by the Virginia Institute of Marine Science in cooperation with William & Mary's Center for Gifted Education and Christopher Newport University, participants work alongside faculty mentors on authentic marine science research projects.

Open to high-achieving high school students residing in Virginia. Applications are submitted through the Virginia Department of Education Summer Residential Governor's Schools process.
