Summer Focus
Summer Focus is a funded eight-week summer research internship at Washington University in St. Louis for high school students in the Greater St. Louis area. Scholars are paired with mentors and tutors to conduct biomedical research and participate in courses on science communication and college preparation. The program aims to support motivated students, particularly those historically underrepresented in science or from under-resourced school districts.

Eligibility
Must be in 11th grade during the application year and a resident of the Greater St. Louis area (Missouri and Illinois). Priority given to students from under-resourced public school districts or groups historically underrepresented in science.
