The Shaw Institute for Field Training (SIFT) is an environmental science program for St. Louis area high school students. It provides immersive field research training, career exploration, and professional networking through summer sessions and academic-year activities at the Shaw Nature Reserve and other local sites. Graduates of SIFT may then apply for the Tyson Environmental Research Apprenticeship (TERA) to work as paid fellows on research teams.
