Welch Summer Scholar Program
Chemistry
The Welch Summer Scholar Program (WSSP) is a five-week residential summer research experience for Texas high school sophomores and juniors. Participants engage in hands-on chemical research projects and one-on-one mentoring with faculty and graduate students at one of six Texas university campuses. All housing, meal, and laboratory expenses are funded by the Robert A. Welch Foundation.

Eligibility
Open only to high school sophomores and juniors attending school (including homeschool) in Texas. Previous WSSP participants are ineligible. Standardized test scores (PSAT, SAT, or ACT) are required.
