The Health Sciences & Technology Academy (HSTA) is a West Virginia-based mentoring program designed to help students from underrepresented or disadvantaged backgrounds enter and succeed in STEM+M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine) degree programs. The program supports high school students through after-school clubs, research projects, summer academies, and community service.

Eligibility
Must be a West Virginia resident, U.S. citizen, in 8th grade at the time of application, and attend an approved school in a participating HSTA County/Region. Additional criteria include a 2.5 GPA and interest in STEM+M. Priority is given to students meeting criteria such as low-income status, first-generation college status, or living in rural areas.
