Women's Technology Program (WTP-ME) Summer 2027
The Women's Technology Program (WTP) at MIT is a rigorous four-week summer academic experience for high school students who are rising seniors. It is designed to spark interest in mechanical engineering among students who have demonstrated excellence in math and science but have little to no prior engineering background. The program uses an active learning curriculum with hands-on labs and team projects, and prioritizes students who are underserved in engineering fields.

Eligibility
Open to current 11th-grade high school students (rising seniors) with a permanent family address in the U.S. Preference is given to students underserved in engineering, including those from schools with limited STEM resources, potential first-generation college students, or those from low socioeconomic backgrounds. Must have a strong academic record (predominantly A's) in math and science.
