UC Davis Young Scholars Program

The UC Davis Young Scholars Program is a six-week summer residential research program that introduces approximately 40 high-achieving high school students to original research in the biological, agricultural, environmental, and natural sciences. Participants work one-on-one with UC Davis faculty mentors in research laboratories, prepare a journal-quality paper and symposium presentation, and earn 5 units of university credit.

Eligibility

Must be a rising junior (sophomore when applying) or rising senior (junior when applying), must be 16 years of age by the first day of the program and not turn 18 before the last day, and must be a permanent US resident currently residing and attending school in the US.
