Co-sleeping, Mental Health, and Teens
Started on Nov 11, 2021
The term ‘co-sleeping’ is broadly used to refer to children who sleep in close proximity to parents and often includes bed-sharing. Many researchers and mothers alike have debated the topic in the context of whether or not co-sleeping is beneficial for a child. This project aims at giving some clarity on the subject for future studies to be completed. My question is are the effects of co-sleeping directly related to mental health and sleep disorders later? This paper presents reports from a number randomly selected people from the age of 12-18 all currently residing in Elko, Nevada. After receiving the data, it is reviewed for correlation between the answers given by the subjects mental well being and their past co-sleeping habits, if any. Stuggles that I have had with this project were minimal however I did struggle with the participants responing to the survey incorrectly, making their data void.
